Terms of Use
Last updated 21 October 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the baselaunch website at baselaunch.app and the related interface (together, the “Interface”), operated by baselaunch (“we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Interface, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Interface.
1. What baselaunch is
baselaunch is a non-custodial interface to public smart contracts deployed on Base (chain id 8453). It lets you create and trade fixed-supply tokens that run entirely on-chain. Each token starts on a bonding curve and moves to a Uniswap pool with locked liquidity when the curve fills.
baselaunch is an independent platform built on Base. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Coinbase or Base.
We provide software that helps you build and send blockchain transactions. We do not operate Base, the underlying Uniswap contracts, your wallet, or any block explorer we link to. We are not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, money transmitter, or financial institution, and we do not match orders or execute trades on your behalf.
2. Non-custodial: you control your wallet
You interact with the Interface using your own self-custody wallet. You keep sole control of your private keys, seed phrase and funds at all times. We never take custody of, hold, or have access to your assets or keys, and cannot move, freeze, recover or reverse your transactions. On-chain transactions are final and irreversible. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and device.
3. Eligibility
To use the Interface you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You may not use the Interface if you are located in, or a resident or citizen of, any jurisdiction where accessing the Interface or using crypto-asset services is prohibited, where you would be a restricted person, or any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargo (including those administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control), or if you are an individual or entity on any applicable sanctions list. You are responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the Interface is lawful in your country and location, and you must stop using it if it is not.
Tokenized stock pairs are not offered in some regions, including the United States and the United Kingdom, and are hidden where your region cannot be determined. You must not try to get around this restriction.
4. How baselaunch tokens work
So you understand what you are using, in plain terms:
- Fixed supply, no allocations. Each token is a standard ERC-20 with a fixed supply of one billion tokens. The whole supply goes to the bonding curve. There is no presale and no team allocation.
- Bonding curve. Everyone buys and sells at the curve price, which rises as tokens are bought and falls as they are sold.
- Fees. Creating a token costs a small launch fee (currently 0.0005 ETH, paid on-chain). Bonding curve trades carry a 1% trading fee. The creator may also set a creator fee of 0 to 10% of each trade at launch. See Fees.
- Launch tax. Buys in the first seconds after a launch pay a tax that falls to zero within three seconds. This is a speed bump, not a guarantee against early buyers.
- Graduation. When the curve reaches its target, the token moves to a Uniswap pool automatically and the pool liquidity is locked. Graduation is a status only and does not guarantee price, liquidity, or any outcome.
- Creator fee destination. The creator chooses where the creator fee goes: a wallet, buying back and locking the token, or holders. The creator cannot change the holders choice later. The protocol owner can redirect a coin's fee recipient after a 3-day notice; see Security.
- Tokenized stock pairs. A token may trade against a tokenized stock issued by a third party. We do not issue, back or redeem those instruments.
These parameters are enforced by the smart contracts and may change for future launches. Nothing here is a promise about any particular token.
5. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You are solely responsible for everything you do through the Interface, including any token you create and all content you supply (name, ticker, image, description, links). You must have the right to use any content you upload, and you must not use the Interface to:
- break any law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else doing so;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, impersonate a person, project or brand, or publish someone's private information without permission;
- defraud, mislead or manipulate others, including market manipulation or deceptive promotion;
- upload malware, attack or disrupt the Interface or Base, or scrape or reverse-engineer the Interface beyond what applicable law allows;
- offer or market a token as a security, investment contract, or a promise of profit.
Tokens are created and traded by users. We may also launch tokens ourselves, from wallets we control, for example to seed the board; these tokens are not marked differently from other tokens. They carry the same risks as any other token and we make no promise about their price or future. We do not endorse, vet or take responsibility for any token, its creator, or its content. If you believe a token page infringes your rights or contains unlawful content, contact us (see Contact below).
6. Not investment advice; no guarantees
Nothing on the Interface is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Tokens launched or traded on baselaunch are experimental and have no intrinsic value; they are not shares, securities, deposits or regulated financial products. You may lose some or all of the value you put in. We do not guarantee any price, liquidity, trading volume, graduation, or that any token or the Interface will function without interruption.
7. Intellectual property
The Interface, including the baselaunch name and mark, its design, text and code (other than content you or other users supply and other than open-source or third-party components under their own licences), belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Interface for its intended purpose. You keep whatever rights you have in content you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display that content on the Interface so the service can function.
8. Third-party services
The Interface relies on and links to third parties we do not control, including Base and its RPC endpoints, the Uniswap contracts, wallet providers, issuers of tokenized stocks, and the Basescan block explorer (basescan.org). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
The Interface is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Interface will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information shown (including prices, market caps, charts, balances or on-chain data) is accurate or current. You use the Interface at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, assets, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Interface, any smart contract, any token, or any third-party service, whether based in contract, tort or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our contributors from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Interface, any token or content you create, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Changes
We may change the Interface, the smart-contract parameters for future launches, or these Terms at any time. When we change these Terms we will update the date above. Continuing to use the Interface after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Interface will be resolved on an individual basis through binding arbitration rather than in court, and you and we each waive any right to participate in a class or representative action. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, and we may specify a named governing law and venue in a future version of these Terms.
