Creator fees

A creator fee is a fee of 0 to 10% of each trade, set by the creator at launch. It applies on the bonding curve and, after graduation, in the Uniswap pool, on top of the 1% trading fee. It goes to the fee wallet or to holders; buyback and lock uses only the creator part of the base fee.

Numbers checked on chain on 20 October 2026.

How it is charged

  • The creator sets a rate from 0 to 10% when launching. It is fixed for that token.
  • It is charged on every buy and sell, on top of the 1% trading fee.
  • It keeps applying after graduation, in the Uniswap pool.

Where it goes

The choice covers the creator side: the creator part of the 1% base fee and the creator fee.

Your walletFees build up for the fee wallet to claim. The receiving wallet can be changed later.
Buyback and lock50% of the creator part of the 1% base fee, and of the launch tax on the curve, buys the coin back and locks it. The coins unlock over 5 years, the creator receiving 70% of each release and the protocol 30%. On a coin created on baselaunch.app, which has no launch interface, the creator fee is still paid in full to the fee wallet. The fee wallet can be changed later.
HoldersFees are paid to holders by balance and holding time. The creator cannot change this choice later. The protocol owner can redirect a coin's fee recipient after a 3-day notice; see Security.

Each choice is explained step by step in the docs: payouts and claiming, buyback and vesting and holders mode.

Choosing a rate

A higher rate earns more per trade and costs traders more on every buy and sell. Whatever the choice, the rate is shown on the token page, so traders see it before they trade.
