baselaunch FAQ

Creating a coin on baselaunch costs 0.0005 ETH plus Base network gas, and every trade pays a 1% fee. Each coin's 1,000,000,000 tokens start on a bonding curve and graduate to a Uniswap pool at 4.2 ETH, where the liquidity is locked. The contracts have not been independently audited yet. An audit is part of our plan.

Questions and answers

Is it free to launch a coin?

0.0005 ETH plus Base network gas, so it is not free. The fee is paid once when the coin is created, and the opening buy is optional. Launch fee and trading fees

What does it cost in ETH and USD?

0.0005 ETH (about $1.12 as of 2026-10-31) plus Base network gas, which goes to Base and not to baselaunch. Nothing else is charged at creation. How a launch works

What is the fee per trade?

1% of each trade on the curve and 1% in the pool, split between the protocol, the creator, the launch interface when the coin has one, and a trade referrer when there is one. Buys in the first 3 seconds also pay a launch tax of up to 98% in the launch second with no creator fee (99% of the buy including the 1% fee), falling to zero. The full fee split

What share does the creator get?

0.7% of each trade, which is the whole creator side of the 1% base fee, plus any creator fee of 0 to 10% the creator sets. On baselaunch.app the creator keeps all of it. The launch interface takes 20% only when a coin was launched through another app that registered one. Creator fees

What is the supply?

1,000,000,000 tokens per coin, all minted once into the bonding curve. There is no presale and no team allocation. The bonding curve

What is the graduation threshold?

4.2 ETH in the curve on an ETH pair, reached when 714,285,714 tokens have been bought. Other pairs have their own target, shown on the launch form. How graduation works

Where does the coin trade after graduation?

In a Uniswap v4 pool, seeded with 204,081,633 coins and the ETH raised. Trading there pays a 1% base fee with the same split, and the creator fee keeps applying. How graduation works

Is liquidity locked or burned?

Locked: the Uniswap position is held by a locker contract with no withdraw function, and 81,632,653 coins are locked with it. Nobody, including the creator and baselaunch, can take the liquidity out. What happens to liquidity at graduation

Can the team change the fees?

The rates are fixed for each coin when it is created, and 3 days of public notice come before the owner can redirect a coin's creator fee recipient. The owner can set new fee terms for future launches within set limits, and can move the protocol payout address or turn a coin's buyback off. The launch interface and trade referrer shares are fixed in the contracts. What the owner can and cannot do

Is there an audit?

The contracts have not been independently audited yet. An audit is part of our plan. The main launcher contracts are verified on Basescan and cannot be upgraded. Security

Can I launch from my phone?

The launch form is a web page that connects to your wallet, so it opens in a phone browser or a wallet's built-in browser. We have not tested every mobile wallet yet. The launch steps

Can a bot or an agent launch a coin for me?

There is no API or SDK yet. The launch contracts are public on Base, and Part II of the docs shows how to call them directly: addresses, functions, events and code. Docs and contract addresses

Is it a coin or a token?

Coin and token mean the same thing here: an ERC-20 on Base. baselaunch says coin on its pages and token only as a plain synonym. Docs
